The world is constantly changing and I am always saying to the kids in our life lesson conversations that you have to change with the times or you will end up getting left behind.

This needs to be applied in many areas of our lives, for ourselves, relationships, health, and finances.

We must always maintain and improve our leadership style, tactics and the way we influence, especially when change in our environment is constantly happening.

There will always be situations or circumstances that will control our style of leadership and the implementation of our actions that goes with constant change.

There are so many variables of leadership and my personal favorite are the leaders who inspire and build others up through the power of Positive Influence.

Influential leadership isn't just about giving orders or demanding others to do your will, it's about making a real impact by sharing the vision, earning trust, encouraging new ideas, and helping people grow to be better for themselves, for their families, and peers.

1. Vision

Influential leaders have established a clear and compelling vision for the future. They not only have a strong idea of where they want to go, but they can articulate this vision in a way that excites and motivates others. By thinking ahead and planning for the future, they provide direction and purpose, guiding their team towards a shared goal. Having this kind of foresight will help you navigate challenges and seize opportunities that present themselves, making the path clear for everyone involved which creates a strong unity and a stronger buy-in. This change is caused by a Visionary Influence, establishing a positive environment for everyone.

2. Emotional Intelligence

Emotional intelligence to me personally is a little tougher and is a cornerstone of Influential Leadership. Leaders who excel in these areas understand and manage their own emotions and those of others. This allows you to connect with your team on an emotional level, fostering a supportive and trusting environment. This emotional attunement helps in resolving conflicts, boosting morale, and creating a workplace where people feel valued and understood. These types of leaders are great at empathizing with their team’s needs, leading to stronger relationships and a better team dynamic.

3. Authenticity

Authenticity is critical and is one of my favorite styles of influential leadership. True leaders are genuine and honest, acting with integrity with consistency, and I get it, this can be difficult to do at times. This authenticity will help you gain the trust and respect of your team. When leaders are authentic, they create an atmosphere of openness and transparency, where team members feel safe to express their thoughts and ideas with you. When trust has been established, it forms the foundation of a strong, resilient team capable of achieving great things together.

By leading with a clear vision, connecting emotionally with their team, and being genuine, influential leaders inspire trust, encourage innovation, and support personal and professional growth. In a world that is constantly changing, these leaders stand out by making a lasting impact on their organizations and the people they lead.
