Two Places to Heal and Motivate Yourself

Nature and Community Spaces

Most of you have heard me say all the time that there is no avoiding the struggles and challenges we face in our journey and that we can’t run or hide from them. Now we want to add how important it is to allow ourselves to slow down or stop for a moment to allow healing, where we reground and create the inspiration and motivation to strive for excellence in our lives. 

Life will always get busier and harder from time to time and it's important to slow it down and focus on the places that help us feel grounded and inspired. 

With this week's article we are discussing two key places to prioritize for healing and motivation, “Nature and Community Spaces.” Yes, there are others but my heart has been speaking to me with these specific two areas and I have decided to write about them and share with you.

Let’s get your LIFTwarrior hat on and get busy with this week's write up and start creating beauty in your journey. 

First of all let's discuss Nature.

Why Does Nature Heal?

Spending time outdoors can greatly improve your mood and health. Well, unless you get a really bad sunburn or you are stuck in the rain.  lol

Here’s how Nature improves your health.

Reduces Your Stress, Being in nature lowers stress levels and helps you relax. We personally love the water and the beautiful sounds it makes.
Boosts Your Creativity, The calm sound of nature can spark new ideas and creativity.

Improves Your Health, Activities like walking or hiking are good for your body and mind.
Encourages Mindfulness, Nature helps you stay present and enjoy the moment.

It's important that you go and enjoy Nature
Visit local parks, beaches, or even hiking trails. The kids told us recently they want to go to the Aquarium here in Atlanta soon so we are going to plan that little trip.
Plan weekend trips to enjoy the outdoors, especially with your spouse or partner and connect together.
Try gardening in the back yard or a walk in the neighborhood or park to connect with the environment around you.

Once you’ve enjoyed nature, caught your breath, and re-grounded yourself, it’s time to shift your focus to another powerful source of encouragement and inspiration, your “Community Spaces.”

This Is Why Community Matters

Connecting with others is so important for your happiness. 

Here’s why having community spaces is important to have in your own personal journey.

Support Networks, Community centers and clubs provide support from friends and neighbors, especially if you share the same interests.
Shared Activities, Group activities like classes or volunteer work will motivate you and help you grow.
Learning Together, Community events will teach you new skills and boost your confidence.
Feeling Connected, Being part of a community helps you feel less lonely and helps with your mental health.

How to Get Involved
Join local clubs or groups that interest you. These could be in your local area or even a Facebook Member Page with others that share the same interests as you..
Volunteer in your local community to meet new people.
Attend events or workshops to learn and connect.

Join outdoor event groups and get the best of both worlds.

Nature will heal you, while Community Spaces inspire and motivate you, only if you allow it. 

Make time to visit both of these places on a regular basis. 

What activities or places help you feel better and motivated?

As for me it is writing, and being outdoors in any way possible, especially sailing. In fact Iwe are in some need of some Beach Therapy right now. lol
