Today We Share The 2nd Article of “Live Your Dreams Live Your Passions.”

This week, while hosting our LIFTwarrior TikTok live sessions from Monday to Friday, 8:00 to 8:45 AM, and interacting with the LIFT Team members across all the different social media platforms we use, we discussed “Live Your Dreams Live Your Passions.”

Last week we discussed the beginning of living your Passions and Dreams, this week we will discuss getting back on your desired journey.

Stop getting frustrated about the could haves and would haves and get proactive and not just reactive. 

Getting your focus and discipline back after losing track of your goals will be hard, but it’s definitely possible.

Here are some easy steps to help you get back on your journey you desire.

Take A Moment and Think About Your Personal Goals

Take a bit of time to remember what your goals were and ask yourself if they should stay the same and why they are important to you. Knowing and understanding what your reasons are will help you feel excited, giving you a bit of motivation to keep pressing forward. 

Set small goals in the areas you want to grow. Take a little time to write them down, and start taking the necessary steps toward them—one day at a time.

Time to Make a Plan

Create a daily or weekly plan that includes time to work on your goals. Doing a little bit each day will help build good habits. We all will always have full busy schedules but take just a short time each day to work on your passions in life.

Remove Pesky Distractions

Find out what is pulling your attention away or distracting you and work on cutting it out. You can even create a quiet space to work or limit your phone and social media time.

Work on removing your distractions and stay focused on what matters most to you. Be mindful of the people, the type of content, and your habits you allow into your life, they will shape the path you are on.

Have Someone Keep You Accountable

Tell your friends, family members, or even a mentor if you have one about your goals. Checking in with them from time to time will help you stay motivated. When you start living your passions you will have the opportunity to meet others with the same goals and aspirations as yourself and when two or more work together anything will be possible. 

Build Self-Discipline

Start small by doing one task a day that helps with your personal goals. As you get better and stronger with your actions, you can take on bigger challenges.

Celebrate Your Wins

Celebrate every small success no matter how small. This will help you stay positive and motivated.

Be Kind to Yourself

It’s normal to experience challenges along your journey. Instead of getting upset and losing your mind, use the challenges you are experiencing as chances to learn and grow. It’s ok to get knocked down or held back but what is not ok is to stay down. Sometimes it’s easier to let the challenges affect us, slipping into a mindset of a, “Feel Sorry For Me”, mentality.

Visualize Your Success

Spend a few minutes each day imagining yourself reaching all your goals. This will keep you inspired and help you stay on track. 

Stay Flexible

Be ready to change your goals or plans if needed. Life changes, and being flexible will help you stay focused on what’s most important. I always say “we must change with the times or we will get left behind.”

By following these steps, you will slowly rebuild your focus and discipline and start moving toward your goals again. Yes, this might take some time but learn to enjoy the journey and before you know it you are experiencing your passions to the fullest in your journey.
